One of CACTE’s primary purposes is to provide professional development opportunities for its members. There is a face-to-face opportunity at the annual CACTE CareerTech Summit and also an online opportunity through CTE Learn.

CACTE CareerTech Summit
​
The annual CACTE CareerTech Summit is the premier opportunity for Colorado Career & Technical Educators at all levels to unite for professional development, networking and fun! Held in mid-July, the CACTE CareerTech Summit offers outstanding keynote speakers, a wide variety of breakout sessions, Division Spotlight for more specific content learning/sharing, the Excellence Awards Ceremony and networking as well as a chance to interact with the Colorado CTE State Office Staff. Join us for a worthwhile professional development experience!
CTE Learn

Check out this professional development opportunity for CACTE members, which is an online learning portal with more than 180 courses to help you enhance your teaching and grow in your profession!
​
Colorado CTE Learn is our state association’s contribution to your online professional development. The full courses offered take approximately 4 hours each and come with a certificate of completion, recognized continuing education unit credit and the opportunity for college credit. CACTE members get a 10% discount - email cacte@cacte.org for the code!

CACTE Professional Development Grant Available
​
The CACTE Professional Development Grant was created to support our members' ability to access professional growth opportunities. YOU MUST BE A CURRENT MEMBER TO APPLY. By expanding one’s capacity and knowledge within the education system, members can create systems to more effectively support their roles and their stakeholders. However, funds may not be readily available to allow participation in a professional development event. This grant provides reimbursement to meet or offset the cost of professional development opportunities. The intention of this grant is NOT to support the acquisition of certifications. When an application is approved, grant funds will be awarded to the individual CACTE member, after all required documentation is provided (see below). Grant funds cannot be made payable to anyone other than the member receiving the funds. If the recipient has costs paid by an employer in advance, the recipient will need to coordinate repayment independently. Additionally, it is the expectation of the recipient to ensure that all funds, from all sources, are not above the actual costs of the PD event.
